Wreaths Around Punta Gorda

CENTENNIAL BANK JOINS  MAIN STREET PUNTA GORDA’S
“WREATHS AROUND PUNTA GORDA” SILENT AUCTION

Centennial Bank’s Punta Gorda branch invites everyone to stop by and see their “Money Wreath”, on display as part of Main Street Punta Gorda’s silent auction “Wreaths Around Punta Gorda”. Local businesses within Main Street Punta Gorda’s designated district have purchased and decorated Christmas Wreaths, Centennial Bank following the banking theme by decorating a wreath in a Christmas sled filled with origami money presents. “We wanted to create a wreath that represented our business, but that was still elegant enough for someone to want to hang in their house,” says Teri Ashley, Centennial Bank AVP and Business Development Officer. “We had a little fun with it, too, by incorporating actual money into the decoration.”

Maps showing the locations of the wreaths and silent auction bid sheets can be picked up at the Centennial Bank Punta Gorda branch until the final auction date of December 17th. On that day, Centennial Bank will be providing photos of all the wreaths to be posted at the Historic Freeman House for viewing.

Main Street Punta Gorda promotes, encourages, facilitates and enhances growth, vitality and prosperity in downtown Punta Gorda while preserving its historic character to benefit the entire community.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money-market deposit accounts.
