Monroe County Florida School District Names Centennial Bank Business Partner of the Year

Yesterday, we were honored by the Monroe County Florida School District as the "Business Partner of the Year." The bank was recognized for its focus on rewarding student achievement and positive behavior, promoting community service and fostering relationships throughout the school and community.

Congratulations to all of our personal bankers working hard in the Keys everyday to support their customers and community.

What Would you Do with $100? Students in Key Largo Told Us Through Art.

There are many fun methods we utilize to better help children understand money and finances through our "Teach Kid's to Save" program. Recently, we posed a question to the kindergarten through fifth grade students at Key Largo Schools. What would you do with $100 dollars? There was a hitch though. They couldn't just tell us their answer, we wanted to them to show us through art, and show us they did. We received over 440 art entries depicting what could be done with $100. The entries covered a wide variety of themes including donation to the homeless, Haiti relief, animal rescue and putting the money into the bank for saving.

For each grade, judges chose a Grand prize, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner, for a total of 24 winners. The winners received custom prize packages made up of art supplies and art work from Guy Harvey and Wyland, well known tropical and sea artists in the Keys. The winning submissions are posted in the lobby of the Key Largo Centennial Bank, and the total lot of submissions will be displayed on a rolling schedule throughout the month of February. New art will be posted each week. The public is invited to view the art in the branch at 100280 Overseas Highway, Monday through Friday 9am-4pm and Saturday 9am-12pm. Centennial Bank Named 2009 Business of the Year by the Cabot Chamber of Commerce

On January 15, Centennial Bank was honored by the Cabot Chamber of Commerce as the Business of the Year for 2009. Nominations were sent in by chamber members on the basis of overall civic and community support from a Cabot business. The nominations were then sent out of state to be judged independently.

Centennial Bank was one of three finalists up for the award. We at Centennial would like to thank the Cabot Chamber of Commerce, our customers and fellow chamber members for the award. Most of all, we would like to thank our employees for giving of themselves to make Cabot a better place.

Centennial Bank Named the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for January

Centennial Bank has been named Business of the Month for January 2010 by the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber put together a brief, informative video featuring Centennial's involvement in Sherwood. We thank our customers, employees and the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce for the honor.

Centennial wins multiple awards at Arkansas Bank Marketing conference

The Arkansas Bank Marketing Association held their annual advertising awards ceremony in Hot Springs last week. Centennial Bank won several awards including: Overall Best of Print for the Conway market for their concept of a sign unveiling, also a 2008 Golden Addie award recipient from the Arkansas Advertising Federation; Overall Best of Radio for the Conway and Searcy markets for name change campaign; Honorable Mention for Total Campaign for banks $500 million or larger; Best Radio for banks $500 million or larger; Best Outdoor for banks $500 million or larger; Honorable Mention for Outdoor for banks $500 million or larger; Best Newspaper for banks $500 million or larger; Best Collateral for banks $500 million or larger.

Centennial Bank’s directors of marketing for the 2008 year include: the late Tom Steves, Kristi Thurmon, Emily Wilson, Lori Case, Stephanie Scuderi and Kyle Proctor.

“I would like to thank all the presidents for allowing the marketing team to produce quality work,” Lori Case, director of marketing Conway, said. “Additionally, I would like to thank the marketing team and The Sells Agency who have worked so hard over the last eight months to transition our name change within our respective markets.”
