Centennial Bank Gets Groovy at the Edison POPS at Sunset Concert

Centennial Bank was a sponsor of the 16th Annual Edison POPS at Sunset Concert to benefit the Charlotte County Campus of Edison State College on Saturday, October 15. The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra’s theme this year was “Dance the Night Away.” The almost 1000 guests were encouraged to decorate their tables to add to the festive evening … and the Centennial Bank staff choose a DISCO theme!

Proceeds from the event benefit the Richard D. Yarger Charlotte POPS Scholarship Fund.

In keeping with our table theme, a sign was posted for everyone to stop by and visit the Centennial Bank DISCO! The sign was donated by a local customer – Signs-R-Us – and also included their logo for all to see.

Centennial Bank at the Oakley Seaver Memorial Golf Tournament

Centennial Bank Orlando was proud to participate in the 5th Annual Clermont Kiwanis Oakley Seaver Memorial Golf Tournament, a fundraiser for Take Stock in Children.

Take Stock in Children is a non-profit comprehensive program that helps low-income and at-risk students escape the cycle of poverty through education. Take Stock in Children provide students college scholarships, volunteer mentor, student advocates, case managers and tutoring.

Last week Centennial Bank presented $5,000 to ASU Beebe for the Centennial Bank Concert/Lecture Series. Representing ASU Beebe is Dr. Keith Pinchback, Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement.

Burn Victim Logan Nelson Receives Special Surprise

Logan Nelson’s eyes widened Tuesday when he saw what was waiting for him. And Centennial Bank operations manager Lyn Foshee was almost equally excited to make the presentation … if not more so.

The Fort Myers Softball Club recently won a co-ed tournament and donated the event’s proceeds to Logan. But not only that, they donated their purple and gold trophy.

Nine-year old Logan was severely burned in July behind his Punta Gorda home while playing with gasoline and fire. After extensive treatment at Shriner's Hospital in Cincinnati, Logan continues on his quest for a complete recovery.

“Here you go, buddy!” Foshee said as she presented the trophy in the Punta Gorda lobby of Centennial Bank. “This is almost as big as you are!”

The card attached from Angie Baker with the Fort Myers Softball Club echoed the sentiments of the entire Southwest Florida community.

“We are wishing you a speed recovery! We are all rooting for you!”

Centennial Bankers featured on Today’s THV with Craig O’Neill

Rose City Branch Manager David Berry and Camp Robinson Assistant Branch Manager Cheryl Schoeneweis were interviewed by Craig O'Neill Friday on Today's THV. They spoke about their efforts in the Summer Cereal Drive. The Camp Robinson Branch collected over 1750 boxes for kids in need in Central Arkansas. Centennial Bank collected more than 5,000 boxes in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Sherwood and Bryant.

Centennial Bank Awards Terry Odom The Truck He “Stuck to” for Over 91 Hours!

After much rest and recuperation, many of the contestants of Centennial Bank's Stuck on a Truck 2010 contest met at the Main location in Conway to receive their prizes. The top contestants were not the only ones winning though. Throughout the competition, our contestants' fans helped raise over $2,650 for local charities.

Kari Allen raised the most money for her charity, the Faulkner County Day School, and won an iPod and alarm clock for her efforts.

The top three contestants won some great prizes. Thank you to all of our sponsors for help making this happen.

Terry Odom was able to stay on the 2010 Ford F150 the longest with a time of 91 hours and 23 minutes! This was Terry's third appearance in the contest, so third time's a charm for him!

We are currently working on videos of the finalists and will post them later in the week. It's now time for everyone to rest, including the many Centennial Bank employees that made this another great year.

It has been a wild afternoon in Conway, Arkansas. The excited screams of 23 contestants filled the air at Toad Suck square downtown. At noon, we kicked off our 2010 Stuck on a Truck competition. The contest will most likely go through the weekend, so feel free to visit our Stuck on A Truck website to watch live via webcam.

We wanted as many people to feel the excitement with us, so we have provided a video (with music requested by the participants) and pictures below to see how we kicked off this years' event. Today marks the beginning of Stuck on a Truck at Toad Suck. This is the tenth year of the competition. It is sure to be an exciting time for the contestants, their families and friends. Before all the excitement starts at noon today, we want to remind everyone of another reason Centennial Bank has this event: local charities.

Every player stuck to the truck has a charity they are paired with. You can go to www.stuckonatruck.com and vote for your favorite. You vote for your favorite by giving to their charity. The player with the most votes wins a nice prize package and the charity they are paired with gets 100% of the proceeds. In the past few years, we have raised over $7,000 for local charities, so go online and vote for your favorite contestant or charity!
