Centennial Bank recently sponsored the S.A.F.E. “Street Smart” program for the Coral Shores High School freshmen class in Tavernier, Florida. The purpose of the class was to increase awareness among teens about the dangers of driving without a seat belt, acting responsibly and staying focused while driving a vehicle. Centennial Bank concluded the S.A.F.E. program by asking the students to sign a Contract for Life with their parents, promising to act responsibly, to wear their seat belts and to call if they find themselves in a bad situation.
At the end of the program, 32 students signed the pledge. Of those, one was chosen at random to win a prize. Kellen Clarke was the lucky person who won the iPad.

A Centennial Thanksgiving…the annual Conway Community Thanksgiving dinner is planned for 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at First United Methodist Church. It’s a 20 year tradition previously ran by the Blankenship family, but this is the first time to be sponsored by Centennial Bank. We have much to be thankful for at Centennial Bank and feel that is highly appropriate that we give back to the community that has given so much to us by organizing this meal of thanksgiving. We are excited and a little nervous since it’s our first time, but we feel like we’re prepared. We knew it would be easy for the bank because of our number of employees and the type of company we have. They really get behind things like this. We are expecting to serve 700 folks. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re in need, alone, or you just want to come be a part of something fun. No one will be turned away and no questions will be asked. We know from talking to a lot of food banks they have just been obliterated. There’s a lot of need this year. We hope there’s not one slice of turkey left! All the desserts are going to be homemade by bank employees, so even people who can’t be there that day are getting to participate. If you know of someone who needs a meal delivered to their home call 501-328-4859.
This event is at the First United Methodist Church in Conway. It is open to all Faulkner County. Free Thanksgiving meals will be provided to those in need.
