A Centennial Thanksgiving

Friday, November 20th, 2009

PrintA Centennial Thanksgiving…the annual Conway Community Thanksgiving dinner is planned for 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at First United Methodist Church.  It’s a 20 year tradition previously ran by the Blankenship family, but this is the first time to be sponsored by Centennial Bank. We have much to be thankful for at Centennial Bank and feel that is highly appropriate that we give back to the community that has given so much to us by organizing this meal of thanksgiving. We are excited and a little nervous since it’s our first time, but we feel like we’re prepared.  We knew it would be easy for the bank because of our number of employees and the type of company we have. They really get behind things like this.  We are expecting to serve 700 folks. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re in need, alone, or you just want to come be a part of something fun.  No one will be turned away and no questions will be asked. We know from talking to a lot of food banks they have just been obliterated. There’s a lot of need this year. We hope there’s not one slice of turkey left!  All the desserts are going to be homemade by bank employees, so even people who can’t be there that day are getting to participate. If you know of someone who needs a meal delivered to their home call 501-328-4859.

Important Disclosures Regarding the Guarantee Program
Centennial Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2009, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
